When is the best time to install?	You can install at any time, but the heat and dry ground in the summer lowers productivity, thus increasing the cost of installations. Off season (September-May) installations can save money due to softer ground and lower overhead.
How long have you been in business?	Brian Rodgers and partners started DCI in 1987, and in 1990 he left to begin his own company, Creative Irrigation. Creative Irrigation was incorporated in 1994, and now has over 900 clients in Northern Virginia and Maryland. And Brian has installed every system himself.
My designer sounds knowledgeable, but who actually installs the system?	Good Question. Simple Answer. Mike Hall meets with the client, designs the system, and walks with Brian through the installation. From that point, Brian oversees the installation process. We install one system at a time, for expressly one reason: to ensure the finest quality installation possible.
Will you tear up my lawn?	No. We don't trench; our Vermeer pulls pipe quickly and cleanly through the soil, leaving faint evidence of pipe installation. Excavating is a major part of an irrigation installation, but there are steps that can be taken to ensure complete cosmetic repair. Tarp use, tamping, and proper sod repair, as well as raking and sweeping, can ensure your lawn looks great after we're done. These steps take time, and it's one of the reasons we're more expensive, but nobody else works cleaner than Creative.
How long does it take to install?	Obviously, that depends on a few different factors. The size of the property, the scope of work, the amount of hand-work, the point of connection and soil conditions all factor in the installation time. And don't forget weather. Most typical residential installs run one to three days. Creative installs each system one at a time, so we can put all our resources into your system, and your system only.
Will I use more water?	If your trying to water all your property with a hose, no. A properly designed system irrigates just the right amount, at just the right time of day and there's no waste due to evaporation, run-off, forgetfulness or the ever-wasteful house and street watering. And every system is installed with a rain sensor to ensure we work as a team with Mother Nature.
